Government support

EDG, PSG, and the rule most people get wrong.

Singapore supports SMEs that invest in digitalisation. The support is real and it is worth having — but the sequence is unforgiving, and that is where most of the money is lost.

Read this part twice

Apply before you sign, and before you pay.

Both schemes require the application to be submitted before you sign a contract, place a purchase order or pay a deposit. If you sign first, the support is not delayed and it is not reduced. It is gone, and no appeal fixes it.

Processing takes weeks rather than days. Plan for it. We would rather wait for your outcome than watch you forfeit funding on our engagement — and we will say so in the quotation, in writing, every time.

EDG

Enterprise Development Grant

Administered by Enterprise Singapore. Aimed at projects that upgrade the business, build capability or help it grow — including custom digital solutions built for your specific operations.

  • Suits bespoke work: software built for your process rather than a product bought off a list
  • Assessed on the project, so a clear scope and a proper specification matter
  • Reimbursement-based — you pay, then claim, so budget the cash flow
  • Expect the application and assessment to run into weeks
PSG

Productivity Solutions Grant

For adopting solutions that appear on a pre-approved list — accounting, inventory, POS, HR and similar — alongside certain equipment.

  • Suits buying a proven product rather than commissioning a new one
  • Faster and simpler than EDG, because the solution is already vetted
  • Relevant to us when the honest answer is that you should buy a package, and the work is configuring and connecting it
  • Also reimbursement-based

Our part

We are not grant consultants.

We do not submit applications on your behalf, we do not charge a percentage of anything you receive, and we will never tell you that you are approved. That is the agency's decision and only the agency's.

What we do is make your application easy to assess:

  • A written specification that sets out the problem, the scope and the expected outcome in the form assessors look for
  • A quotation broken out by phase and deliverable, so the supportable portion is visible rather than buried in a single figure
  • A start date that waits for your outcome, with the sequencing rule flagged before you sign anything
  • Documentation at completion in a form that supports your claim

Check it yourself

Where the real answer lives.

Support levels, qualifying criteria and the pre-approved list change from time to time. We deliberately do not quote percentages on this page, because a stale number on a website is worse than no number at all.

The authoritative sources are the agencies themselves:

Your corporate secretary or accountant can usually confirm your eligibility position in a single conversation, and it is worth having that conversation before ours.

Plain caution

A grant is a reason to do good work sooner. Not a reason to do work you don't need.

If a project only makes sense because part of it might be funded, it does not make sense. The test we would apply on your behalf is whether the software pays for itself in time saved, errors avoided or revenue captured — at full price. Support, if it comes, should shorten the payback, not create it.

Next step

Start with a conversation, not a proposal.

Forty-five minutes, no charge, and no obligation at the end of it. We look at how the work gets done today. If the honest answer is that you don't need software built, we will say so.
